Popular Nollywood acts including Yinka Quadri, Tope Tedela, Ivie Okujaye, Rita Dominic and Desmond Elliot were among the big winners at the 2014 Best of Nollywood Awards which held last night.
The actors, among others, won the keenly-contested categories at the awards ceremony which held at Government House, Port Harcourt, Rivers State on Thursday, October 16, 2014.
AMBO star, Ivie Okujaye won herself the award for the Best Actress in a leading role (English) for her role in Black Silhouette, while Tope Tedela was named Best actor in a leading role (English) for his role in A Mile from Home.
Yinka Quadri clinched the award for Best Actor in a leading role (Yoruba) for his role in Aremo Ite while Seyi Asekun’s role in Fifehanmi earned her the award for Best actress in a leading role (Yoruba).
Other winners of the night include Desmond Elliot who won as Director of the year for his efforts in Apaye, Daniel K Daniel who won the Revelation of the year awards as well as AY’s 30 Days in Atlanta named Best Comedy while Render to Ceaser won the award for Best Screenplay
